The Rest of Summer

Hard to believe that the summer is almost over!  But we have jammed in just about as much as we could!  We are headed to the lake next week for one last summer fun weekend so I thought I would get you caught up on the what the rest of our summer has looked like! We have been on the go non-stop so here are a few highlights:

We went to a couple of the Summer Saturday Events at Ellington Ag Center.  The last one they had was All About Horses.  The girls LOVE horses so they had a blast.  We got to pet all different types of horses, ride in a covered wagon and watch the police horses do an obstacle course.  It was hot but fun!
Wagon Ride
We also got the chance to celebrate our good friend AB Rose's Birthday.  She had an adorable tea party at her house.  All the girls got to dress up fancy - which at our house is a rare occurrence.  They had tea and treats and played.  It was so much fun!
This kills me...
The week after AB's party, Hudson and AB got to attend Princess Dance Camp.  Talk about a little girl's dream come true.  Two huge rooms full of pink and sparkles and all thing princess.  And each morning, a different princess was there to greet the campers.  Needless to say, they had a blast!
Day one - Cinderella
The Finale of course!
As has become our annual tradition, we also went to the Williamson County Fair!  We always have such a good time there.  This year's theme was all about construction.  So there were hard hats, tractors, fork-lifts and activities for all.
Inside a giant bubble!
The best part of the fair is going through the Little Farmer's exhibit.  The kids get to be a farmer and collect items and then sell them to the market for "money" and then use that money to buy real treats!  Ice cream sandwiches always seem to be our choice!
Yummy!
They were all about the rides this year also....I think we can all agree that Sobes is going to be our daredevil.
Hudson wouldn't pull the lever to go up...so Sobe did
We also got to take an unplanned trip to Atlanta to see our awesome friends the Boyles and Websters.  Since we live in 3 different cities, we rarely get to have everyone together so it was such a treat!  We took the kids to the Aquarium and Centennial park and then the adults got to celebrate Cori's birthday!  Such a fun time!
I barely got them past the fish in the entry way
This crew!
Will sure has his hands full!
Going to Atlanta of course means time with SueSue and BooBoo.  This time we checked out a new playground near their house and it was awesome!
Being a good big sister!
When we got home from Atlanta, it was straight to Hudson's first soccer practice.  We are the Silver team this year and she is having a blast.
Ready to go
And because little sister really wants to play soccer, we signed her up for KickStarters.  A little 45 minute class once a week and she is in heaven!  She got new "fast shoes" and all.
Day one!
She is totally loving it.  By her second class a week later, she didn't even want us to be on the
field with her.
Waiting for instructions...
Here are some videos of Sobes in action.  I don't know why, but seeing those little legs and that belly run crack me up every time!

This past weekend was also Hudson's first soccer game.  To say she has come a long way would be an UNDERSTATEMENT.  She started the year of right by scoring 3 goals!!!!  She was super pumped.  We have such a fun team this year!  It is going to be a good season!
Ready to go
Action shot
If she keeps scoring like this, we are going to have to stop bribing her...but with Sweet Cece's as the reward...everyone wins!
One topping for each goal!
That's all for now!  Cant wait for another fun-filled long weekend with the Halter crew!

Here are the rest of the pictures of our summer fun:
