November 2015

Happy 6 Months!
Hard to believe that this guy is already 6 months old!  He has been such an easy, happy baby...we are truly blessed!  He now weighs 17 lbs, 13 oz (60%) and is 27 3/4 inches long (96%).  He is the smallest of all our kiddos...crazy since he was the biggest at birth!  He is rolling all over, sitting up by himself, eating baby food and loves puffs and baby crackers.  He really can't get enough food!  Haha.

November has been a pretty quiet month.  After the madness of Halloween, it was nice to have some down time before the Holiday season hits!

We did take some time to Celebrate Thomas' Baptism.  It was a great weekend.  SueSue, BooBoo, Uncle Pace (aka - The Godfather), PJ and Reedo were able to make the trip up for the weekend (we missed Auntie Leens and Chuck who couldn't make it due to lacrosse games).  Of course the girls LOVED having the boys here and they made the most of it with a trip to Jumpstreet, playing outside ALL DAY and s'mores by the fire while watching football.  Sunday morning Thomas was baptized at First Presbyterian Church and we had a great brunch at Mere Bulles afterward.  Grandma and Grandpa Frericks and Aunt Macy also joined us.  It was a great day.
Thomas' Baptism Day
We haven't had much else going on this month.  We have enjoyed the crazy warm weather though.  The girls pretty much play outside all day everyday which is awesome.  We have 12 kids under the age of 9 on our street so there is never a dull moment and you don't have to go far to find friends to play with.

Thanksgiving was great.  Grandma and Grandpa came down for the day.  The girls played outside ALL day with their buddies across the street and we had a delicious meal.  I was even able to sneak away for some Thursday night shopping - I know I am crazy but I have to say...it was not as crazy as usual.  I even recruited our new neighbor to shop with me on Black Friday.  It was her first Black Friday outing and she was sorely disappointed with how boring and uneventful it was.
Crazy Crew!
That is about all for now.  The girls are SOOO excited or Christmas.  We plan to decorate the house this week and get our tree on Saturday!  So let the Holiday begin!

Here are a few pictures from November:

October 2015

Happy 5 Months to this guy!
October is becoming not only the busiest month of the year but also the most fun.  Between soccer, Hudson's Birthday, Fall fun and Halloween, we always seem to have a FULL but FUN month.

We wrapped up the soccer seasons this month.  In the last games of the season, Sobes scored a goal and brought home a giant black eye along with her trophy and Hudson scored FOUR goals.  It was a great season.

We celebrated Hudson's birthday for about a week.  She had 2 school celebrations, a birthday party, a birthday dinner in Nashville (Waffle House of course) and a birthday dinner in Bowling Green (at her other favorite - Chuy's).  She also had a great gymnastics party with such a fun group of friends.

After soccer and Hudson's birthday celebrations, we were able to sneak in a trip to Bowling Green which was a lot of fun.  We took the Scarecrow Tour at Lost River Cave and also went to Jackson Orchard for some fall fun.  We were also able to get out to Shuckle's Pumpkin Patch to get our pumpkins, take a hayride and do the corn maze.  It was a fun, although rainy, day!

Halloween was a big deal this year.  Both girls wanted to be cheerleaders so we went with a football theme.  Other then the kids being super cute, I have to say Makers stole the show.  She was our "football" and every time I look at the picture, it makes me laugh.  She was such a good sport.  The girls had a big time trick-or-treating and handing out candy all night.  Hudson hit every single street in our neighborhood and loved every second.

Below are a few pictures of our adventures and the past month.

Such a fun season with the Pink Princesses

September 2015

Happy 4 Months
A big happy Four Months to Thomas!  Time is flying for sure.  We have said good-bye to summer and welcomed fall overnight it seems!
I love this Crew!
September was a fun month!  We squeezed one last LONG trip back to Lake Rabun for some cousin time.  I just LOVE the picture above.  It is so much fun to watch them be together.  No matter what age they are, they play together like best buddies!  Our lake trip included a ton of swimming, some skiing and of course riding the big red couch.  This trip, not only did Maysie and Makers get to ride the couch, but Thomas did too.  Don't worry, we didn't go far and certainly didn't go fast but he LOVED it.  Smiling and giggling the whole ride.
The family that tubes together.....
Sadly, we had to say goodbye to the Lake for the year and head home for school and soccer.

Both girls are having great soccer seasons.  Sobes scored her first goal of the year last weekend and was super pumped!  Hudson is doing great and has scored in every game except one.  She is really starting to get the hang of it.  They both have great teams and I love getting to coach both groups.

We love Fall in our neighborhood.  Every weekend it seems like there is a festival or block party or something.  Last weekend we went to our favorite one - the Crievewood Baptist Block Party.  They do an amazing job putting on this event and best of all - EVERYTHING is FREE.  The food, face painting, balloon animals, games, prizes, etc...all free.  The girls LOVE it.  We spent 3 hours there and I think it is safe to say they had a blast.
This sums up their personalities perfectly!
Thomas is doing awesome also.  He went back for his 4 month check-up and is now 16 lbs, 9.5 oz (76% in weight) and 27 inches long (>98% in height).  He is long and lean!  He also started baby food this month which has been exciting.  He is not so into the cereal but he LOVES pears and apple sauce!  Sucks it down and cries if I don't get it in his mouth fast enough.  He is doing so awesome and is so much fun.  He is starting to sleep more and more and has put together several 10 hour nights - which is awesome.  We are still working on the rolling over but he LOVES his activity center - or anything that lets him sit and stand up.  He adores the girls and they are obsessed with him for sure!  Any time they laugh, he just giggles along with them.  It is so sweet.

That is about all for now but we have a big October coming up.  End of the soccer season and Hudson turns FIVE...where did the time go!

As always, here are some more pictures from our last month of fun:

August 2015

Happy 3 Months!
Hard to believe another month has already come and gone!  August brought us back to reality with the end of my maternity leave and the start of school!  And it also means that Thomas is 3 Months old now!  He is getting so big!

We had a great end to the summer and tried to take full advantage of the end of my maternity leave.  We took our annual trip to the Williamson County fair which was so fun.  The girls love going through the "Kid Barn" and doing all the farm work.  Of course the best part is the end when you get to use your "money" to buy real treats...ice cream sandwiches of course!
Doing a little work on the farm...
We also got together with our neighbors, The Booths, and did The Color Run Night.  We have done the regular Color Run before, but the last time we did it, it was 40 degrees and raining...not so fun.  This year the race started at 8pm and everything glows.  The girls LOVED it.  Thomas snoozed through it in his stroller with a weather cover on it.  Hudson and Sobes loved the glowing tattoos and even got out and ran about the last 1/2 mile.  Hudson is convinced she won the whole thing because they gave her a medal at the end!  We had a blast and the girls keep asking when we can do another one!
Color Run Night
I had to include this picture because this guy is hilarious these days.  He smiles, laughs, coos, rolls from front to back and is just a very happy baby.  He also started daycare this month which has been interesting.  He does OK until nap time and then he is not a happy camper.  They have to put him on his back to sleep and well...he is more of a tummy sleeper.  Needless to say on his first day there, he napped for 20 minutes total!  Hopefully, he can learn to roll from his back to front soon so he can start getting some sleep!
So smiley...as long as he can't see the camera
August also brings the start of soccer season.  This year the girls are on different teams since we moved Hudson up to the 5 Year Old/Kindergarten League.  They are both doing really well.  Sobe's Blue Team won their first game by a big margin...thanks to a couple of ringers we have this season.  Sobe is convinced she scored a goal - even though nobody else saw it...haha.  Hudson's team, The Pink Princesses, won their first game in a close one, 4-3.  She did really well and even scored 2 goals.  I think it is going to be a great season for both of them!
First soccer games!
We also got to experience the Music City Balloon Festival which was a lot of fun.  It was an afternoon full of bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals and princesses of course.  The girls had a blast and we stayed long enough to see the balloons fill up and light up the sky. Although we did find out, the hard way, that the balloons don't actually take off...they just sit on the ground.  Apparently, we were the only ones that didn't know that...haha!
Hot air balloons and princesses
Music City Balloon Fest
That is about all for now.  September looks to be a fun month too with a trip back to the Lake for Labor Day and of course the rest of soccer season.  As always, here are the the pictures from August:

July 2015

We have had an amazing July!  I am loving summer maternity leave and am so sad it is coming to an end in just 1 week.

We made the most of our July and packed it full of fun including: Cumberland Park Splash Pad, Sounds Game and Fireworks, Pump it Up, Cook-outs and slip and slides with cousins, birthday parties and of course TWO WEEKS at lake Rabun.

HEAVEN
The kids have had a great summer and all 3 have tried and experienced new things which has been so much fun.  Here is a quick update on all three:

2 Months Old
Thomas is now 2 months old and weighs 14 lbs, 5 oz and is 24.5 inches long.  He is sleeping 6-7 hours a night and still eats all the time.  He took his first road trip to the lake and also experienced his first boat ride and swim.  He has started to smile and laugh and is doing awesome.
Obsessed with the big ski
Sullivan is still as crazy as ever.  She had a blast at the lake and jumped off the top for the first time and got up on the big ski too.  She also got to go to Gymnastics camp for 3 days and had a blast.  Not going to lie - she has hit the "three's" pretty hard but hopefully we can get through that phase pretty quick....fingers crossed!!
Just fishin'
Hudson has had a big month also.  She also went to gymnastics camp and loved it.  She really LOVES the lake and would probably move there given the chance.  2 weeks was not long enough for her.  She also jumped off the top for the first time and got up on the big ski too.  She wasn't quite as into it as Sobes was though.  She held a worm for the first time and loves to fish with Tom.  When we got home from the lake she also learned to ride her bike with no training wheels...it was a big day for sure!
Swimming with the big kids
Tom also had a big time at the lake.  He put on a pair of skies for the FIRST TIME EVER and got up on about the third try.  It was hilarious but he was determined to show the girls he could do it.  Here is a video of him skiing past the house and trying to show off by waving to us....it didn't end well!

Sobes up on the big ski...she was obsessed!!!

Hudson on her big girl bike....like an old pro!

Sadly the summer is coming to end for us.  I go back to work on the 10th and the girls head back to school full time also but we have had a great summer!  Luckily, we start soccer in a few weeks and are also headed back to the lake for one more visit on Labor Day!

Here are the rest of the pictures from our July adventures:

Welcoming Thomas Oliver Jr. and Sully Turns 3

To say the past month has been busy would be a slight understatement!  We have had a crazy few weeks but I wouldn't change any of it!

As most of you know, we welcomed Baby Frericks #3 on May 28th.  We were VERY surprised when Thomas Oliver Jr. joined our little family.  First - b/c neither one of us were expecting a BOY and second - b/c he was HUGE.  He entered the world at 3:33pm on May 28th and weighed 11 lbs, 10 oz and was 21.5 inches long.  He is perfect!

Just a few short days later, we also celebrated our big THREE year old Sullivan.  Becoming a middle child and celebrating a birthday within a week is a big deal!

Now that Tom and I have gone from man-to-man defense to zone...I thought I would just give a little update about each kiddo.
May 28th
One Month Old
Thomas:
  • Officially ONE month old
  • Weighs 12 lbs, 3 oz and is 23 inches long
  • Already a typical third child - has to tag-a-long to all the girls' activities but just chills in his car seat
  • Pretty laid back unless he is hungry - which is just about all the time
  • Sleeps about 3-4 hours at a time at night
  • Already been to the pool, Costco, Waffle House, The Nashville Zoo, Lipscomb Soccer Camp and 2 different Vacation Bible Schools - among many other errands and outings
  • The girls LOVE him and he tolerates their "mothering" very well
Three Years Old
Sullivan:
  • This big girl turned THREE on June 2
  • She is 38 lbs and 38.5 inches tall
  • She is for sure our sour patch kid - sour one minute and sweet the very next
  • But she also loves big and plays hard
  • So far her summer fun has included: The Academy School 2 days a week, Brentwood Hills VBS and Lipscomb soccer camp
  • She loves to swim and is getting very good at swimming without a life jacket and also just conquered her fear of jumping in and going under water
  • She got a big girl bike for her birthday and is doing great riding it
Sweet Hudson
Hudson:
  • She is 4 1/2 years old but going on 30
  • She is very tall and getting taller
  • She is so so sweet with a heart as big as she is
  • So far her summer has included: The Academy School 2 days a week, Brentwood Hills VBS and First Pres VBS
  • She swims like a fish (or mermaid in her mind)
  • She is working on riding a bike without training wheels but is not quite there yet
So far I am loving being on summer maternity leave.  The kids and I try to get out and do something different every day: Sevier Park and Las Paletas Popsicles, The Zoo, the pool of course and we have many other plans too including our annual trip to Lake Rabun!

That is about it for us.  As always here are more pictures of our brand new addition and our other summer adventures:

Can't wait for the rest of our fun-filled summer!!!

May 2015

I can't believe that it is already Memorial Day!  This month has flown by.  Even harder to believe that in less than 4 days, we will grow from a family of 4 to a family of 5!!!!

We have really been enjoying the past month.  With me not being able to travel and due to the giant torpedo belly, we have not been up to much other than wrapping up the soccer season, swimming, and celebrating birthday parties on what seems like every weekend!

Our pool opened the first weekend of May and of course our girls had to be there.  The water was basically like jumping into an ice bath but that didn't slow Hudson down!  She picked up right where she left off last summer.
Flipping
Sobes on the other hand....dressed the part, walked around a lot and mostly posed for pictures!  But they had fun nonetheless.
Just posing
We also wrapped up yet another awesome soccer season.  Our team was amazing and we had such a fun group of boys and girls.  Sobes made it through the season with minimal crying.  She scored one goal but most importantly, stayed on the field for the most part...which is really all you can ask for from a 2 year old.

Hudson on the other hand really started to get the hang of it.  She had several games with multiple goals and really seemed to enjoy herself.
Celebrating a hat-trick
Trophy time after our last game in the rain!
May also seems to be the month for birthdays!  We had so much fun celebrating two of our good friends.  We got to play at Centennial Park to celebrate Carter (Sobes' boyfriend).  All the kids got a big kick out of the huge train exhibit.  We also go to celebrate Caleb (Hudson's Boyfriend) at Chuck-E-Cheese.  Not the most fun place for adults but the kids sure do love it!

Giant Train!
We kicked off Memorial Day weekend with a trip to Bobbie's Dairy Dip.  It is a Nashville Tradition and we are trying to make a point of eating at different places every time we go out.  I think this one was a big hit.  Burgers, hot dogs, fries, onion rings and all sorts of ice cream treats...who wouldn't like that!?!?
Pretty sure she like her dipped cone...
The rest of our weekend has consisted of pool, pool and more pool.  The girls are obsessed.  Even though it still feels like an ice bath, they are turning into little fish!

We are looking forward to the long weekend and then having a couple more days to prepare for Baby Frericks 3.0's arrival!  We are scheduled to be induced on Thursday at 6:00am!  Can't wait to find out if the girls are really going to rule the house or if Tom is going to get a little boy back-up!

Here are a few more pictures of our past month or so:

April 2015

Hard to believe that April is already over....it really did fly by!

We had a great Month full of lots of family and friend time!

April started off with all sorts of Easter Celebrations.  One of the girls' school - The Academy of Powell Place - had a big egg hunt and the girls had a blast.  Sully loved seeing the Easter bunny and ran right up to him for a picture.  Hudson of course was terrified!  But, they did have a great time egg hunting with all their friends!
Sisters and Best Friends
The hunt begins
Showing off her Finds
The Easter fun continued when SueSue, BooBoo and the whole Halter clan made the trip up to Nashville for the weekend.  The girls were in heaven of course when the boys got here.  We had a pretty busy weekend full of fun.  We started with a fun dinner out at the Gersthaus - Tom's favorite restaurant full of German food and polka music.  We spent some time being tourists downtown and checking out the Riverfront Park playground, Broadway and all the other sights Nashville has to offer.  We also celebrated Tom's birthday with a great cook-out and some amazing mini-cheesecakes made by one of the girl's old teacher.
Cousins are the best
We also spent some time at the playground of course....
Playground fun
We had a wonderful Easter Sunday with an early church service followed by brunch at the Copper Kettle.  We were also treated to another amazing Egg hunt organized by PJ and he of course outdid himself yet again!
Easter Sunday
April also meant the start of spring soccer season.  Both girls are playing on the same team this year which has been really fun.  We have an awesome group of kids and everyone is doing really well.  Both girls have scored a goal so far which is so fun to see.

Per the norm, Nashville has had crazy weird weather.  Now that it is May, we have had highs in the 60s but in April, it was hot enough to run through the sprinklers and go swimming with friends.  I also love that all of my best friends have kiddos the same age as ours and we all live close enough to get together.  This crew is so sweet and had so much fun swimming at Yummy's house!
Swimming and Ice Cream
The girls and I have enjoyed some fun dinners out while Tom is on the road and I just couldn't resist this one.  Kid's night at Chic-Fil-A is the best here.  Full of balloon artists, face painting and sometimes live music.....hence the reason Sully felt the need to put on a beak and do the chicken dance!
Chicken beak and chicken dance
We ended the month with Hudson's PreK program at Judson Baptist - her other school.  We got to tour her classroom and see all of her artwork, etc.  Then all the kids did a big performance for the parents and we finished our time with a fun luncheon.  It was so much fun and she was so excited for us to be there!  Here is a little clip of her performance.

We are looking forward to a great May.  Soccer will be wrapping up in a few weeks and the pool is opening...all just in time for Baby Frericks 3.0 to make his/her arrival!

As always, here are the rest of the pictures from our past month of fun:

March 2015

Spring is off to a great start here in Nashville!  We love having some warmer weather and longer days so we can play outside.

The girls have had a great month so far, starting with enjoying Mills' birthday party and some fun themed days at school.
Western Day at School
We also love the warm weather b/c it means we can walk to the Ag Center and feed the fish, pet the police horses and stop at the fun playground.  We love doing this on the weekends!!!
Finally Spring
March also means that soccer season has started again!  This year both Hudson and Sully are playing together on the same team!  Sully is a little bit too young but we wanted them to have the chance to play together before Hudson has to move up and age group.  Practices have been going well and we are so lucky to have a super fun team!  Coaching our group is pretty easy considering they are 3/4 year olds!

We also enjoyed a quick trip to Knoxville to visit with my two best friends and all their kiddos.  Big Thanks to the Websters for hosting all of us...including 6 kids under the age of 5!!!!!  Chaos is not even the word, but I wouldn't have traded it for anything!
Fun trip to Knoxville
What a crazy crew
Two of my best friends in the world and all of our kiddos!  I hate that we live so far apart but I love how much our kids love each other even though they have only met a few times.
Best friends and sweet toddlers...
After our trip to Knoxville, we had one more soccer practice and then our first game!  Of course, as luck would have it, the high today barely got out of the 30's which makes playing soccer for 3/4 year olds very challenging, but our team rocked!

Hudson played so hard and loved every second.  Sully still needs some time to get used to it but I can say she touched the ball once....haha!
First Game of the Season

That is about all for now.  We are super excited to host ALL of the Halter's this coming weekend for Easter and can't wait to get all the cousins together again!

Here are some pictures from our fun March:
