November 2023

How is this year almost over?  It has flown by faster than any other year I can remember!

November brought us the end of baseball and soccer for the boys and Tinsley.

The beginning of basketball and volleyball and a little Staycation for Thanksgiving!

Tinsley has her end of the season 4v4 tournament and played her heart out.  Four 30 minute games with no subs and her team "tied" for first.  After 4 hours of soccer with 6 year olds, including a shoot out where no goals were scored, calling it a tie for first was the only option!

We tried something new this year and surprised the kids with a night away at Opryland Hotel and a day and half at Sound Waves, the new indoor water park!  It was a blast!

Christmas is just around the corner and the kids are so excited!  We are ready for a little break from school and sports and the hectic pace of our everyday life!

October 2023

Running a little behind as usual but October was full of sports, birthdays, Halloween and more sports!

Both boys wrapped up their baseball seasons.  It was fall ball so there is not a tournament or anything but from what I was told, Thomas' team finished in "2nd Place" and Conner's team finished somewhere in the top 3.  I am proud of both of them for playing in a new league, where they didn't know anyone at the beginning of the season!  They both improved a ton and made a bunch of new friends!

Both boys also wrapped up their soccer seasons as well.  Conner is playing in the TSC Pre-Academy and having a lot of fun.  He made a bunch of new friends this year and has become quite a good little player.  Thomas played Rec soccer for the first time in years and did so awesome.  His team had a rough start but ended up finishing in 3rd and narrowly missed making it into the Championship game!

Tinsley is still playing TSC soccer and her season wraps up in a few weeks!  She has really come out of her shell on the soccer field and is doing great.  She is fearless and aggressive and fun to watch!

Sullivan's soccer season is still going strong.  They wrapped up league play, playing a year up, and finished in 4th place (I think).  They recently played in our TSC Tournament and only gave up one goal all weekend but sadly lost in the finals in PKs.  It was their first time doing PKs on a big 11v11 size goal so it was a great learning experience as they continue to grow into playing on the big field!  Sullivan also started Middle School basketball practice!  She made the JV team so is getting challenged by some bigger, older 7th graders!

Hudson's soccer season is also still going strong!  They started their ECNL RL league play and have only lost 1 game so far!  She is also starting to juggle that with Club Volleyball which is starting to pick up so her scheduled is jam packed!  She also enjoyed her Middle School Volleyball Tournament where she was given the Blocking Award!

More importantly, Hudson turned THIRTEEN this month!  We officially have a teenager.  She opted for a small party - one friend and puppy yoga!!

Halloween was crazy fun as always in our big neighborhood!  Sadly it was FREEZING on Halloween night so the little three didn't stay out too long but they collected plenty of candy!  Even the dogs joined in on trick-or-treating this year!

We were also able to squeeze in a Vanderbilt soccer game, the USA Men's National team game and a few other fun outings!

Now on to November, which means more soccer, volleyball, basketball and Thanksgiving fun!

September 2023

Happy Fall everyone!  We survived summer and can't wait for some cooler weather - although I am not ready for it to get dark so early!

September was chock full of sports, parties, birthdays and more!

We started September off with a little Labor Day getaway to Knoxville to hang out with some of my long time best friends - Rach and Cori.  It is so fun to get ALL of our kids together...and I mean ALL.  11 in total!!!  The kids love each other and had such a great time together!

We had some pool time, watched some football, played some soccer and spent a day on the river with even more Lady Vol friends!

Its always good for the soul to spend time with the people that have known you the longest!

After our weekend away, it was back to sports, sports and sports.

Hudson's school volleyball team came in 2nd in the county losing in a tough 3 set match in the finals!

It is now on to TSC soccer for her and Alliance volleyball starts back up in November!

Sullivan is in the thick of TSC soccer season and playing well.  Her team has adjusted to 11v11 very quickly and continues to get better every day!  She also recently tried out and made the JV basketball team at school! Very proud of her for battling against 7th and 8th graders!  Seasons starts in October!

Thomas is doing great on his rec soccer team and only has 2 games left!  His baseball team has really come together also!

Conner is still loving baseball and soccer!

Tinsley is also doing great playing up at TSC with the older girls.  She is fiesty and not one to back down from the bigger girls as you can imagine!

We also celebrated two very big SIX year olds this month!  The twins had a big birthday complete with a trampoline party (where they stayed and jumped for 3+ hours), massive cookie cake and lots of friends!

Here are the rest of the pictures from our September adventures!

Now on to October - more soccer, the end of baseball, the start of volleyball and basketball and of course HALLOWEEN!

August 2023

August means...Back to school, Back to soccer, Back to baseball and Back to Volleyball!  And we did it all!

For the first time ever, ALL FIVE Frericks kiddos are in real school, in the same building, riding the bus and almost on the same schedule!

Hudson started 7th Grade.  She is playing on the Middle School Volleyball team, taking Spanish and is almost 13 Years old!

Sullivan started 6th Grade (Middle School..yay).  She is loving having a locker and changing classes and is set to try out for the Middle School basketball team!

Thomas started 3rd grade and is in the thick of what "real school" feels like.  Studying for tests and learning harder math..its tough but he is hanging in there!

And the Twins have finally joined them at school for their First Year of Kindergarten!  They LOVE it!  They are in separate classes but see each other at playground and in PE and love riding the bus with Thomas and our neighbors!

All five kiddos started soccer in August.  Hudson is on her same ECNL RL team, Sullivan made the 2012 Showcase team and is playing 11v11 for the very first time, Thomas is playing Rec soccer for the first time in several years and is loving it, Tinsley plays for TSC up an age group and Conner plays for TSC Pre-Academy.  They are all working hard and getting better every day!  Our calendar is like the most massive game of color coded Jenga you can imagine but we make it work with great neighbors, teammates and babysitters that can drive!

Hudson's middle school volleyball team is having a great season.  They have only lost two matches this season and head into the Middle School County tournament this week!  She amazes me with how fast she has learned volleyball and how well she does.  I know nothing about it but watching her on the court is so much fun!

Both boys are also playing baseball this year.  We have just had a lot of practices so far but games start in September!

We were also able to squeeze in a trip to the Wilco fair again this year!  Always a family favorite!  The twins and Hudson are fearless and will ride any ride they have!  Sullivan plays it more safe and spent most of her time with a friend trying to snacks and doing the "safer" rides....haha.

That is about all for August!

September bring more of the same plus a BIG SIXTH birthday for the twins!!!

July 2023

Good-bye Summer and Hello School, sports and some sort of routine!

July was a great month full of all the things and yet somehow seemed to fly by!

We had yet another great trip to Lake Rabun for the 4th of July!  We had a lot of firsts in the water sports arena, ran a 5K, did some fishing, made s'mores, went to the Rodeo, rode the mountain coaster in Helen, GA, did sparklers, saw some fireworks, took lake baths, did a lot of swimming, tubing, boat riding and playing with the Greenville cousins!  I think we packed as much as we possibly could into 10 days!

When we got back from the lake we just enough time to wash clothes, squeeze in a 3v3 soccer tournament for Sullivan (Champions of the Boys division a year older) and then it was off to Camp Widjiwagan for all five kids.  The big three stayed for a week and the twins did First Camp, which means they did day camp for 3 days and spent the night for TWO nights!  Everyone loved it and is already begging to go back next year!

We also hit another big milestone for Conner when he lost his very first tooth - AT CAMP!!

We wrapped up July with some back to school shopping, the kick off of middle school volleyball season, the kick off of TSC soccer season for four of the five kids, an NSC game and some good old R&R (mostly for Weller).

School starts back Friday August 4th for Hudson, Sullivan and Thomas and on the 9th for our brand new KINDERGARTNERS!
