Sad to say that the Summer is officially ending. The weather has gotten cooler and the neighborhood pool is closing but on the bright side - College football is in full swing!
We enjoyed one last trip to the lake for Labor Day and to celebrate Charlie's Birthday. We had a blast of course and even experienced a few "firsts".
We took Tom and the girls to Minnehaha Waterfall for the first time. It was so fun although I am not sure who had more fun - Tom, The girls or the dogs!

I am also proud to say we have a new skier in the family. Hudson got up on the ski-board for the first time - which is one step past the ski-trainer that both girls loved doing all summer. She gave it 3 valiant tries and took a lot of water in the face, but after try #4 she was up! I love the joy on Tom's face in the picture below.

In honor of Charlie's birthday, SueSue busted out some sparklers that we didn't get to use over the 4th of July. The girls have never done sparklers and they were a hit.

After our trip to the lake, it was back to Nashville for more soccer and one big surprise. Hudson has gotten into soccer this year and seems to be really loving it.

The weekend after Labor Day, Tom headed to South Bend for the ND v Michigan game. So the girls and I were by ourselves for a few days. Luckily I had already planned to surprise them with a "Day Out with Thomas". We got to go down to the train yards in Nashville and ride on Thomas the Train. Our friends the Booths joined us and Sobes and her boyfriend "Car-Car" got to have their first train date. What could be better than some grapes and a train ride!

The girls were in heaven. Thomas the train, bouncy houses, miniature golf, petting zoo, tattoos, stickers and much more!

We have also had several birthday parties to attend this month. Hudson went to a Frozen party for one of her school friends and Princess Anna made a surprise appearance. She was a little shy but definitely wanted her picture made!

That is about all for now. I can't believe that we only a month away from Hudson's big 4th birthday! Where has the time gone!
