One week Old

Well it is hard to believe that Hudson will be a week old tomorrow. It has flown by for sure but we are starting to get into the groove and get a schedule going. She is so amazing and we have had such a great week!

She went to the doctor Tuesday and goes back tomorrow. She had lost a little weight (which is normal) and was down to 8 lbs and 11 oz. But with the way she has been eating this week...I am guessing she will be back up to birth weight by her check up tomorrow!

Not much else to report but here there are some new pictures below.

Our first family photo....the girls love her and she does great with all their barking...

I love my bouncy seat/swing...

We went and picked out pumpkins....

Halloween is just too much for Hudson...

Here is the link to all of the updated pictures. Enjoy!!!

41 Weeks and the Time has finally arrived...

Well we have reached 41 weeks and still no Baby F. We went in today for another ultrasound and check up. To quote the ultrasound girl..."You're still pregnant...". Haha...not so funny when you have been carrying 38 pounds around for 7 extra days.
Anyway, the ultrasound was interesting. The baby moves nonstop (usually) but for the past two ultrasounds, they could not get it to move which caused concern. My fluid levels were also lower than last week which made them nervous. So the radiologist called our doctor and suggested she induce me right away. Luckily my doctor didn't freak out and instead, she went ahead with our check up.
I am still NOT dialated at all...but she hooked me up to the heartbeat/contraction monitor for about 30 minutes to check everything out. The baby's heartbeat was great. Very strong and steady. I on the other hand...was having contractions....I HAD NO CLUE! She showed them to me on the print out but I would not have known otherwise. She said the baby's heartbeat stayed steady during each contraction which is a good thing. Apparently, it tolerates the contractions well.
Anyway, she gave us three options:
1. Go over to the hospital and get induced right away (a little to overwhelming for us)
2. Wait for another week and see if anything happens naturally and then induce when I am 42 weeks next Thursday (too long to wait)
3. Schedule to be induced sometime this weekend while she is in call (sounded like the best option)
Tom and I discussed it and due to a work trip Tom has to take next Weekend, we decided that Friday, October 22 would be the best.
That's right...we go in either tomorrow night late or Friday morning to start the process. Since I am not dialated at all...they are going to start me on a slow dose of pitocin and see if they can get things going.
So needless to say we are excited, nervous, everything you can imagine. It is weird to just know when it is going to happen....but I guess nice at the same time. So sometime this weekend Baby Frericks will make its long overdue debut.
We thought we would give everyone a few last belly shots....as you can see I am about ready to pop so not sure I would have made it another 7 days!

Profile is pretty hilar...

41 weeks = big belly

So I guess the next time we update the blog we will have pics of the little one. We can't wait to introduce Baby Frericks to all of our wonderful friends and family!!!!

Today is the BIG day but....

it doesn't look like Baby F will be making its debut anytime soon.

We went in yesterday for our 40 week visit. They did an ultrasound and just a regular check up as well. Everything looked great on the ultrasound which was good to hear. She checked my dialation again and I am still not 1 cm. She tried to make us feel better by saying I was 3/4 of a cm....but then laughed and said she really was just trying to be positive!

We got to see Baby F again which was really cool (we haven't seen him/her since 20 weeks). As always, it was moving and going crazy (heart rate was like 176 bpm...out of control). She was able to get all the info they needed and then she wanted to take some pictures for us but of course Baby F fell asleep and there was nothing that was waking it up. We pushed on it, shook my belly, coughed, poked, prodded, etc...and nothing. To quote the nurse, "Wow...Baby is either a really good sleeper or stubborn...or both". I am going to go with both. She also took some measurements and gave us an estimate of how big Baby F might be. Drum roll please.....

Right now they are guessing about 8 pounds and 15 ounces. Although that can be too high or too LOW by up to 1 pound!!! So I guess only time will tell but the longer Baby F stays inside the bigger it is going to get! Let's hope for my sake.....the estimate is on the high side!

So that is all for now. We just get to sit and play the waiting game. At this point Baby F could decide to appear any minute or wait for another 2 weeks. We go back next Wednesday for another ultrasound and check up and then we go from there.

I have included some belly pics as always. I don't think it is getting much bigger although it seems to be filling out even more (getting rounder). I haven't gained anymore weight so that is good! But apparently Baby F is super comfy in there!

Baby F is just too comfy in there....
Just sticking out more and more at 40 weeks...

If something exciting happens before next week we will let everyone know...until then...check for some updates next Wednesday!

Only 6 Days left and......

Nothing...haha...that's right. Still no action or updates. We went today for our 39 week appointment and I am not even dialated 1 cm. The heartbeat sounded strong as usual and I measured normally. Somehow, I have not gained any weight since last visit so I guess that is good! Not much else to report really.

Last week we did take some really cute/funny Baby Bump pictures. Thanks to Aunt Macy (our artistic director) and Aunt Heidi (an aspiring professional photographer)...we spent Monday night taking pictures, laughing and enjoying the Baby Bump while it is still there.

I have put some of my favorites below (we took over 250 so if you really want to see the whole album I am happy to send you the link). We really love them all, so now we just need to pick some to frame for the house/nursery.
Happy Halloween from the Lil' Pumpkin
Baby F
Makers is not quite sure what to think....
Of course we already have Notre Dame gear
For sure our favorite of the night!
As always, here are some updated belly pics. As you can see Baby F has dropped for sure. I can't get over how pointy and all up front the belly is these days. It is safe to say that most of my maternity shirts barely cover the whole belly now and I wear a lot of Tom's t-shirts for some extra length!

Baby F sitting down low...

Well with my due date being only 6 days away, we head back to the doctor on Wednesday the 13th. We are getting an ultrasound done to check in on Baby F and see what is going on. Then we meet with the doctor to see what the next steps are. We could go as long as 2 weeks after my due date before they will induce but it all depends on how dialated I am at that point.

So for now we are just going to wait on Baby F to make a move. It could be any day or not for another 3 weeks...I guess only Baby F knows for sure!

2 More weeks and Still no action....

Well it's hard to believe that we have less than 2 weeks until Baby F makes his/her debut! Week 38 has been uneventful so far. We had our weekly check-up today and there is not much to report. Baby F is still positioned head down which is a good thing. Our doctor said that I am "maybe close to 1/2 cm dialated" so it doesn't look like Baby F is trying to make a move any time soon.
We are pretty much now just patiently waiting. The nursery is finished. Our bags are packed. So now all we need now is a baby!
As always here are some belly pics. I don't think it is getting much bigger. It just seems to be dropping lower and getting full! Baby F is running out of room. On the plus side, I only gained 1 lb this week! So that is much improved from the 5 lbs last week! haha.

38 Weeks

38 Weeks...lower and fuller for sure...

Our next appointment is next Friday so we will see if Baby F has made a move by then!
