it doesn't look like Baby F will be making its debut anytime soon.
We went in yesterday for our 40 week visit. They did an ultrasound and just a regular check up as well. Everything looked great on the ultrasound which was good to hear. She checked my dialation again and I am still not 1 cm. She tried to make us feel better by saying I was 3/4 of a cm....but then laughed and said she really was just trying to be positive!
We got to see Baby F again which was really cool (we haven't seen him/her since 20 weeks). As always, it was moving and going crazy (heart rate was like 176 bpm...out of control). She was able to get all the info they needed and then she wanted to take some pictures for us but of course Baby F fell asleep and there was nothing that was waking it up. We pushed on it, shook my belly, coughed, poked, prodded, etc...and nothing. To quote the nurse, "Wow...Baby is either a really good sleeper or stubborn...or both". I am going to go with both. She also took some measurements and gave us an estimate of how big Baby F might be. Drum roll please.....
Right now they are guessing about 8 pounds and 15 ounces. Although that can be too high or too LOW by up to 1 pound!!! So I guess only time will tell but the longer Baby F stays inside the bigger it is going to get! Let's hope for my sake.....the estimate is on the high side!
So that is all for now. We just get to sit and play the waiting game. At this point Baby F could decide to appear any minute or wait for another 2 weeks. We go back next Wednesday for another ultrasound and check up and then we go from there.
I have included some belly pics as always. I don't think it is getting much bigger although it seems to be filling out even more (getting rounder). I haven't gained anymore weight so that is good! But apparently Baby F is super comfy in there!
Baby F is just too comfy in there....
Just sticking out more and more at 40 weeks...
If something exciting happens before next week we will let everyone know...until then...check for some updates next Wednesday!
