May brought us the end of school, the end of baseball, the end of Soccer and the end of an era in our old house and neighborhood!
The twins finished their last day and year at Judson PreK. We are going to miss this school so much! All five kids have gone to school there and it is such a sweet place!
They also finished their first ever baseball season. They improved so much over the season and even won their first game in the end of the season tournament. Only their third win of the whole season! They both hit the ball well and both got an out in the field at least once this season!
Thomas wrapped up 1st grade and his last year at Crieve Hall Elementary as well! He had a great year and made huge strides in his math and reading especially.
He also wrapped up another great baseball season! His improvement this year was huge and all of his coaches did a wonderful job with our team. They were undefeated (only 2 ties) and won the Regular Season Trophy, the Tournament Trophy and Thomas was named "Best Bat" award for the league. He became a very consistent hitter this year and his fielding really improved.
Thomas also celebrated a big birthday! He left our old house as a six year old and woke up in the new house as a BIG SEVEN year old!
Sullivan wrapped up 4th grade and also her final year at Crieve Hall. She had an excellent year and is going to miss all of her sweet friends so much!
She also wrapped up soccer season as well. It was a year of lots of ups and downs, lots of learning and lost of growth but she had fun and really developed a lot this season!
Hudson finished her first (and last) year at Valor. She really loved her time there and it helped her grow so much as a person. Her confidence grew and she made so many new and different friends. I know she will miss it next year but she is excited to officially be in Middle School at our new school. She finished the year with A/B Honor Roll and another Valor award Called "Crew".
In the midst of finishing school and moving to a new house, her soccer team also wrapped up a great season. They qualified for the State Cup and ended up losing 0-2 to a talented team from Memphis in the Semi-Finals. They improved so much this season, learned how to play 11v11 and genuinely had a great time with each other! It was fun to watch!
So now that school and sports are finally done, summer is here and we are enjoying our new house and new neighborhood. The kids have already made a TON of friends and are enjoying the new, bigger, neighborhood pool. Camps start in a week or so and then we are off to the lake for July 4th.

April was a month full of soccer, baseball, Easter and birthdays!!
The twins and Thomas are fully into baseball season.
Thomas' team is doing great. They are one of the older teams in our division so they seem to be finding a lot of success. But more importantly, he is improving so much every day! He is hitting the ball so hard and has made some real plays in the field (even throwing a few runners out from shortstop to first base!).
Conner and Tinsley are doing great also! Their team is one of the YOUNGEST in the division so they have a lot to learn. But they get better every time they take the field and even managed to squeak out TWO wins in April. Conner has gotten really into it and is starting to understand how to play in the field and where to throw or run to get someone out. Tinsley has discovered that she can hit the ball! She is batting well above .500!
Here is Conner's first hit! He has since learned he actually has to run a lot faster to be safe!!
We enjoyed some down time for Easter with an almost soccer free weekend! We got to dye eggs, do two easter egg hunts, got a visit from the Easter bunny and enjoyed church for the first time in a long time!
We also celebrated a few birthdays in April! Tom turned 41 (he's so young...) and Hasil turned TWO! She celebrated with a trip to Petsmart, lots of treats and way too much attention!
The girls are also almost through another spring soccer season. They are both doing well and improving and learning every day!
Sullivan's team is starting to put all the pieces together to be a really good 9v9 team. They have gotten back to their old ways of beating up on some boys teams! They also went to Indianapolis, played a year up and lost a heart breaker in PKs in the finals! But, they learned a lot and are gearing up for their last two tournaments of the spring in May.
She hates pictures and she REALLY hates pictures when she loses!
Hudson's team is also doing great! They finished 4th in their State league and qualified for the Division 1 State Cup in May. They also went to Indianapolis, played a year up and lost to a tough older team 0-2 in the finals. They had beaten the same team the day before 1-0 but its always hard to beat a team twice in one weekend!
That is about all for April. May is going to be full of soccer and baseball also. It also means the end of the school year and our big move to Thompson Station, TN! So we will be running around like crazy for the next 4 weeks!
Here are the rest of our April adventure pictures:
March brought the start of our busy season..haha...well all of our seasons are busy but for just the second time ever, ALL FIVE kiddos are playing a sport and we are on the go at all times!
Hudson is fully into soccer season and it is going well. They are playing well and still learning a ton. Unfortunately, Hudson has had some growing pains and struggled with Osgood Schlatters in her knees all fall - thanks to a 4.5 inch growth spurt! We finally got that under control with a little time off over the winter only to hit ANOTHER growth spurt of 1.5 inches since December and now she has Severs Disease pains in her heel. Basically just growing pains, but now in her heel. The good news is she can play without hurting it worse, but she just had to play through the pain which is never fun! We also now have an 11 year old who is 5'5" and still growing!!!
Sullivan is fully into soccer season as well. After a tough fall season learning to play a whole new formation on the soccer field, her team is finding their stride and getting back to their normal form. They are still playing up against older boys but playing very well and really starting to put together everything we are trying to teach them.
For the littles and Thomas, baseball season has started!
Thomas is back playing on age, after a season of playing up, and is doing really well. He is still hitting the ball great but he is also really learning how to play defense in the field and has even thrown out a few runners!
The Twins are also playing baseball, in the same age group as Thomas (it's 6U so this is Thomas' last season in this age group) and they are LOVING it!
Tinsley is the only girl on the team and isn't phased by it at all. She has not gotten a hit yet, but she swings hard and gets closer and closer every game!
Conner is VERY into it. He has gotten at least one hit in every game.
Neither one of them love to play in the field...or really have a clue what's going on in the field...but they are having fun anyway!
As luck would have it, Opening day featured a match up between the Cardinals (the Twins' team) and the Dodgers (Thomas' team). I wouldn't sat it was a nail biter BUT, everyone had fun with minimal trash talk!!!
Other than sports 7 days a week, we have crammed in plenty of birthday parties and school events!
Oh, we even snuck in one more snow day the first weekend of spring break!
Now we just need the weather to make up its mind and stay warm because our sports schedules only get more and more jam packed in April and May!
February...the longest and shortest month of the year somehow!
Our February was full of sports, more sports and a couple other sports!
Sullivan wrapped up Basketball with a 2nd Place Finish in the 5th Grade Flight League Championship. It was a tough game in the finals against a very big and talented team and in the end we came up just 2 points shy! This is the first time in SIX years her team did not win the championship so it was a tough day! But playing an age group up is tough and P.S. 5th Graders are HUGE these days!
Thomas' team had a great season! They got better and better each game and within a 2 week span they went from losing to a team by 40 POINTS to meeting that same team in the Semi-Finals and losing in overtime by TWO! They played so hard and had a great season finishing in the top FOUR in the 1st Grade league.
Hudson wrapped up Volleyball and started outdoor soccer. Her soccer team went to Atlanta for a tournament at the end of the month. It was a tough weekend as they were put in the top bracket against other club's ECNL teams...BUT...we battled every game and while we lost all 3 games, they were all 1 goal games where we had a ton of chances, just couldn't put them away! It was a great weekend and a good opportunity for the team to get ready for league play back at home!
Hudson's volleyball team came alive in the end of the season Tournament and swept the whole thing! They won every set and became the Alliance Winter League Intermediate Champs. She loves volleyball and it is fun to watch her learn something new and gain confidence in it!
That is about all for now!
March brings us Baseball for Thomas and the babies!! They are playing together for the first time and it should be hilarious!
The girls are back outside with soccer and games have already started!
We can't wait for the rain ad cold weather to go away permanently!
We enjoyed THREE different snow storms in the month of January!!! That is just crazy for the South!
All the kids loved the snow, especially Hasil, and took full advantage of sledding the big hill in the neighborhood!
Other than trying to stay warm, January has been full of Basketball, Volleyball and Indoor soccer (with a little outdoor soccer mixed in).
Thomas' team is playing great! They have lost 2 games so far but get a little bit better each game!
Sullivan's team is undefeated and headed into the tournament as the #1 Seed. We have one last game of the regular season and it should be a tough one to get us ready for the tournament next weekend!
Hudson is playing volleyball and loving it! Her serve has improved so much and she seems to be hitting her stride on the volleyball court!
That is about all for now. February brings us the end of basketball and volleyball and the beginning of outdoor spring soccer season! Hope the warm weather gets here soon!!
Here are the rest of the pictures of our January Adventures:
2022 is off to a cold, snowy, busy start around here. We are only 2 weeks in and Nashville has already had 2 snow events...one that brought us 6 inches of snow!! But our 2021 ended with a great December full of cousin time and Christmas fun.
We started off the month with a visit to the big guy! For the first time since the babies were tiny and didn't know any better, we had all 5 see Santa and no tears! Tinsley even wrapped up some of her old toys to give to Santa and it was adorable!
After our visit with Santa, we picked up out our Christmas tree and went straight home to start the decorating!
Both girls wrapped up the soccer season with fun team parties and when we got out of school we headed to Columbus for Halter Christmas.
We were lucky enough to stop in Atlanta and visit with MamMam. Now that the 3 big kids are vaccinated, they were allowed to go inside so we got to eat lunch and do a short visit!
Columbus was full of all the fun cousin things: nerf wars, movies, soccer, gingerbread houses, bowling, and of course Christmas presents!
Tinsley had quite the approach to bowling but was also in first place in her lane for most of the day so...
We headed back to Nashville to get ready for Santa to come visit. Thanks to Amazon, we were able to add to our blow up collection (much to Tom's disapproval) and had a lot of fun making cookies for Santa!
Christmas day was amazing. Santa found us and everyone got just about everything they could have hoped for! We even got to enjoy some time with friends and a Christmas Day lunch!
We had a lame New Years Eve at home. Watched a little football and most everyone was in bed long before the "guitar drop" happened!
January is off and running as we are right back into more snow, school, volleyball, basketball for two kids and Futsal for the big girls, outdoor soccer practice for the big girls and everything else we have going on in our crazy lives!
As always here are the rest of the pictures from our exciting December:
