October 2020

It's officially fall!  Temps are colder, the leaves have fallen and Halloween has come and gone!

We had a pretty great October, all things considered...you know Pandemic and all.

October was FULL of all things sports!

The babies and Thomas wrapped up their soccer season at St. Bart's.  I would say the babies season was less than successful.....Tinsley took to it a bit more than Conner but neither one of them loved it per say.  Thomas Crushed it!  All of the sudden he decided to be a soccer player!  He loved it and played really well.  I missed his last weekend of games but I heard he scored at least 7 goals, did an actual soccer move and maybe even passed the ball!

Thomas has 2 make-up baseball games this week and then he is done for the season!  His baseball team has been crushing it too!  They have amazing coaches and he has learned so much!!

We enjoyed a little Stay-cation for Fall break this year...because you know..Pandemic and all.

The kids didn't love it but we fit in a trip to the zoo and a visit to a yummy new place in Nashville called Baked Bear where you can build your own GINORMOUS Chip-Wich!  It was amazing!!

After fall break Thomas FINALLY got to go back to school in-person!  He was so excited and a little confused!  haha.  His teacher stayed virtual so he got a new teacher.  She is so sweet and he really likes her, but poor kid.....this has been the most confusing first year of school ever!

A week later, the girls got to return to school in-person and everyone was so excited!  It's still a little weird - masks all day, no talking in the hallway, no singing in music class, zones on the playground....but at least they are there with friends!

A few days after school returned - HUDSON TURNED TEN!

I can't believe she is in the double digits!  A whole decade old!  We didn't have a big celebration this year...because you know..Pandemic and all...but she got to pick her dinner out, celebrate with big yard signs and share some treats with her soccer team at practice!

Both girls are in full soccer mode as well!  Sullivan's team won their Tournament, Bash in the Boro, playing up an age group and only giving up 1 goal all weekend.  But the best thing was that even though they didn't play well - they managed to find a way to win.....that is pretty impressive for 7 and 8 year olds!!

Shout out to the twins as well!  They finally had their three year old check up and they are doing great!

Tinsley is 33 lbs (75%) and 39 inches tall (75%).  So she is still out little munchkin!  She is the smallest of our kiddos but she more than makes up for it with sass and bossiness!  She is in charge all the time!

Conner is growing like a WEED!  He is 37 lbs (90%) and 41.5 inches tall (>97%).  He is SOOOO tall!  Not surprising I guess but seriously...he is huge!  He still love to throw and hit and play football.  He didn't love soccer but he can hit a baseball a mile already!

Our neighborhood treated us to free Snow Cones again this month which is always a crowd favorite!

And of course we can't forget Halloween!  The babies got to wear costumes to school the week before so they originally went as the Bat Twins.....but in true twin fashion, when it was time to leave for school, Tinsley changed into some sort of Cupcake Princess character!  Either way, they had a great day!

Unfortunately, Hudson's soccer team was in Indianapolis over Halloween weekend but they more than made the best of it!  After 2 tough games they got all dressed up for some hotel trick-or-treating and I think they may have gotten more candy in 15 minutes than they ever would at home!

Tom held down the fort with the rest of the crew for a fun Halloween night in the hood.  We had the Skeleton Twins, Jenny Weasley and Darth Vador!

That is about all for now!

We are gearing up for November.  Which will bring the end of Soccer season, one more out of town soccer tournament, the beginning of basketball season, Thanksgiving with the Halters and preparations for Christmas!

August 2020

We wrapped up our summer with lots of pool time, the return to soccer and baseball and of course more Corona!

Tinsley is officially a swimmer.  She just decided one day she wanted to take off her float and next thing, we knew, she was doing this:

Conner is also getting better at swimming.  But since he can stand up in our pool...he usually just walks!

August also means the start of School!

Back to school looked a little different this year..mostly bc of our long commute...to the kitchen table!

We will be doing virtual school until at least Mid-October!  Our whole district is virtual so we didn't really have a choice!

It has been a struggle to say the least.  The girls are starting to get into the swing of things but Thomas is still struggling.  Can you imagine having to do Virtual school when you can't even read??

His teacher is awesome and is doing everything she can think of to keep them engaged and excited but it's tough!

Fingers crossed they change their minds and at least let Kindergarten return to in person school!

Thankfully the Twins Preschool has returned in person!  I am not sure how we would have survived if they were still at home also!!!  They are loving school and taking all the new safety precautions in stride!  They love their masks and have adjusted quickly to all the new rules at school!  So thankful for our amazing Preschool!

Hasil is clearly all torn up over Corona and everything happening around her!  Haha.....kidding....she seems like she is adjusting just fine!

She is getting so big and is finally house trained!!

Once again, we are thankful for our awesome neighborhood!  We have enjoyed 2 great days of the RetroSno Cone truck and they are delicious!  We are also thankful our pool stays open after Labor Day!

Our big news is that the babies graduated out of their toddler beds and into their BUNK BEDS!  They absolutely LOVE them!

That is about all for now!  September brings us weekends full of soccer, weeknights full of soccer and baseball and of course a BIG THIRD Birthday for the Twins!

July 2020

We said goodbye to the longest summer break ever (since we have been out of school since the first week of March).

July was a good month! We escaped quarantine and headed to the Lake for 14 days!

It was so nice to have a change of scenery and new people to play with!

We spent the first 10 days with lots and lots of cousin time.

Hasil enjoyed her first trip to the lake.  She liked the water and really liked riding in the boat.

We watched the fireworks like always!

We took our annual cousin picture!

All the kids had a blast doing all the things.

Hudson got up on the wake board, double skis, kneeboard and paddle board behind the boat!  She even tried to Slalom and was so close!  She also jumped off the roof of our neighbor's house for the first time!

Sullivan had a break out summer and for the first time wasn't afraid to try everything.  She jumped off the top, did the kneeboard, wakeboard, double skis and paddle board behind the boat!

Thomas skied, knee boarded and rode the paddle board with PJ.

Conner wasn't much into the water sports but he did ski a little bit and tubed (only for the bribe treat at the end though).

Tinsley really found her place in the water!  She jumped off the top, skied, tubed all day with the big kids and rode the paddle board with PJ!

After our cousins left, our friends came up for a few days!

Nothing like 10 kids under 10 for 3 days!  But they had a blast and although they have really only met a few times, you would have thought they had been best friends since birth!

When we got home from the lake we got back into the "new normal" way of life.  The girls have soccer practice - although without any contact allowed.  Thomas finished his baseball season strong!  And the twins are enjoying a lot of pool time with our amazing babysitter!

Virtual school starts tomorrow so that should be interesting.  Thankfully the babies' preschool opens next week so at least they get to go somewhere!

As always here are the rest of our pictures from July:
