September 2019

We officially have TWO 2 Year Olds!  Lord help us now!

I can't believe these crazies are officially TWO!

September was a busy busy month!  With 3 kids playing soccer, often in 3 different places at the same time, we are ALWAYS on the go!  Hudson, Sobe and Thomas are all playing hard and loving soccer these days.  Hudson also wrapped up her second volleyball training session and is looking forward to playing in the Winter League in January.  She has never played a real volleyball match, but she is excited!

Thomas is playing in a new league this fall and LOVES it!  He is playing up in the K/1st grade league so he could be with some buddies and is doing really well.  Last time he played soccer, I'm not sure he ever touched the ball!  This year he is all over the place and has scored several goals but most importantly, he hasn't backed down from the big kids at all!!

But mostly, September has been all about the Twins!

They had a great Birthday week!  They got to celebrate at school and had a fun party at home after a LONG weekend of being stuck at the soccer field watching Hudson play in a tournament.

They were attempting to answer the questions - How old are you?

Conner is officially still off the charts: 29.5 lbs (51%) and 37 inches tall (>95%).  He is HUGE!

Pretty close Tins!
Tinsley is still the munchkin of the family: 26 lbs (60%) and 34 inches tall (50%).

Conner is still 3 lbs and 3 inches bigger than her!!  But don't worry....she runs the show!!

We had a fun pool party planned for the Twins' birthday but of course the pool had different plans.  Due to a bad case of algae growth, our neighborhood pool was closed for several days!  So back-up plan....

We ended up with a driveway water party.  We had a water table, baby pool and bounce house.  I didn't hear any complaints so I think it was a big hit!

All Tinsley asked for for her birthday was cheese.  Our neighbors did not disappoint and when she opened her first gift full of cheese sticks...she was so happy that she hugged the package!

Not sure why this is upside down, but we had double the cookie cakes for the big day!

After the party festivities wrapped up, we went back to business as usual.  Which means school and soccer!

Hudson and I were able to sneak away for a big girls overnight trip to Knoxville.  She had games and we got to visit with Miss Rachael, Will and meet sweet baby Mae...FINALLY!  We had a great, although, TOO short visit!

And finally, September also means our favorite fall day - the Crievewood Baptist Block Party!  It is such a fun event.  So we rushed from the soccer fields to the party!  Which is always full of fire trucks, police horses and cars, and FREE snow cones, food and fun!  We always have so much fun there!

And I had to share the picture of this crazy!  Never a dull moment in our house for sure!

October means Hudson's big 9th Birthday and Halloween!  Of course we have more soccer and basketball kicks off too!  No time to get bored around here!

August 2019

August was such a long month and yet somehow September seemed to sneak up on me!  Hard to believe we are a month into school and almost into fall (although it is still 98 degrees here in Nashville so it sure doesn't feel like fall).

We started August off the same way we spent our summer....playing some 3v3.  Sullivan's team battled all weekend in 90+ degree heat and came in Second at 3v3live.com Regionals.  Since they were playing up against older girls, they came in Second for the Weekend, but First for their age group, which means they automatically qualify for 3v3live.com Nationals in November.  They were super excited to earn their Golden Ticket!  They have played up all summer so it will be exciting to see them take on some teams their own age from all over the country.

Of course August also meant the start of School!

The girls seem to be enjoying 3rd and 2nd grades so far.

Third grade is proving to be tougher than expected for Hudson but she is working hard.  In just the first month, she has learned the importance of time management and that you actually have to STUDY for tests!  She likes her teacher and has a few good buddies in her class so she is off to a good start.

Sullivan loves 2nd grade so far!  Her teacher is great and hands out candy....so of course, Sullivan thinks she is amazing.  She is doing well and is already moving up in reading levels quickly and seems to enjoy every day!

The babies and Thomas got an extra week of summer before school started for them, so they got to enjoy a little extra pool time!

Safety first Scuba Tins!

Sometimes they do love each other!

The babies are at school for 4 days a week this year and seem to love it so far!  They love wearing their backpacks and walk into school like big kids.

Tinsley still gets a little upset at drop-off time but it totally fine about 2 minutes later.  Conner walks in without a goodbye or a look back!  He loves that every day he has new toys and cars to play with!

Thomas is loving PreK 4 this year!  He has the same teacher that Sullivan did when she was four and he loves her!  He is starting to learn his letters and learned to write his name already!  He wanted nothing to do with learning over the summer, so I'm just glad he is trying!  haha.

The biggest news for August is that Hudson now wears glasses!  She is super cute in them and seems to like them and now she can see the board without squinting!

September brings a month full of soccer, a little volleyball and more soccer.  Thomas starts his new soccer season this month and the girls will be in full TSC season!  So we will be so busy but it is so much fun to watch them get better, work with teammates and push themselves to get better!

September also brings a BIG Birthday...the Twins will be TWO!

JULY 2019

We are so so sad to say good-by to summer!  We are less than a week away from heading back to school and the real world!

July was a great month!  Full of soccer (of course), lake time, sleepover camps and time with friends!

We had another incredible 4th of July week at the lake!  The kids did anything and everything.

The twins love to tube and ride in the boat and now they both love to ski!

Thomas loves to do everything that the big boys do.  He got right back up on the ski-trainer, learned how to kneeboard and even tried to wakeboard.  He didn't get up this time but he said when he is 5, he will wakeboard...so maybe next year.  He jumps off the top and loves spending time with the big boys!

Sullivan loves to tube but typically has been hesitant to do anything else (even though she skied when she was only 3...).  But finally, the second to last day she decided to give the kneeboard a try and now she is addicted!  She loved it!

Hudson loves all things watersports.  She skies, wakeboards, kneeboards and tubes!  She is a little fish for sure!

Of course the best part of the lake trip is lots and lots of cousin time!

We also finally went back to the waterfall!

After our lake trip we got home just in time for another 3v3 Tournament.

Hudson's team played against some tough older girls and just missed making the semi-finals by one game!

Sullivan's team also played older girls and advanced to the finals.  They went down 0-4 in the first half but managed to battle back for a 6-5 win!

The girls' second favorite week of the year also happens in July...Camp Widjiwagan!

For the second year, they spent a whole week at camp!  They love every second and have already asked if they can stay for 2 weeks next summer!

While the girls were away, Thomas got to spend some time in Bowling Green with Grandma and Grandpa and then he and I had a great date night out!  We built some bears and he treated me to dinner at Chi-fil-A!

Our TSC soccer season started back this week so we are in the full swing of things.  We have one weekend left and then it's the first day of school!  I may be the only one excited about that but we need a little routine and structure back in our lives!

June 2019

How in the world is June already over??  We had a jam packed month full of soccer, birthdays, camps, pool time and the kids' first wedding!

We kicked off June with our first of many 3v3 Tournaments.  Sullivan's team finished 2nd with a tough loss in overtime in the finals!  It was a long hot day but they had a great time!  It's so fun to see the girls together...chugging Gatorade, throwing water on each other, hanging out under the tent and giggling all day long!

The following day was Sullivan's 7th Birthday!  We celebrated with a pizza party at the pool of course!

This year we were blessed to be able to celebrate a very special birthday!  So we headed down to Atlanta to see MamMam and celebrate her 100th BIRTHDAY!  It was a quick but fun trip.  We snuck in a trip to the Atlanta Zoo and even got a few extra hours of cousin time!

All EIGHT Great-Grands
After the party we rushed back to Nashville to get Hudson checked-in and dropped off at her first ever overnight soccer camp.  She and 10 teammates spent 3 nights and 4 days at Lipscomb University's Overnight soccer camp and she could not have been more excited.  It was the most soccer she has ever played but she loved every minute and has already asked to go back next year!

Then we squeezed in another 3v3 Tournament.  We finished a tough 2nd place again (to an older team) but the girls loved playing at night under the lights....and I loved that it wasn't 100 degrees outside!

The babies have had a pretty laid back summer!  They don't get to do any camps and usually don't go to any 3v3 Tournaments - the days are just too long and too hot!  So lucky them...they get extra pool time with the babysitters!

Tinsley is still a talking machine.  She is as bossy as ever but also hilarious!   She loves to "talk"on her cell phone and is very into baby dolls these days!

Conner is still all smiles!  He still doesn't talk as much as Tinsley but he tries.  He loves the water (so does Tinsley) and still loves to eat everything all the time!

Sullivan got to enjoy a week at Lipscomb Soccer Day Camp.  She wasn't quite old enough for overnight camp so she spent the week with her good buddy at day camp, playing up with the 9 and 10 year olds.  They had a big time and got to enjoy the giant slip and slide every day!

Hudson also spent a week at "Cake Camp".  She learned all about baking and decorating and brought us home a treat every day!

Sullivan also spent a week at Belmont Basketball camp and had a blast.  Hudson opted out of basketball camp and went to VBS instead.  I think they both had a blast!

We wrapped up June with a very special wedding.  One of my former soccer players, who I coached for 7 years, who then helped me coach the girls rec team and is now the girls PE teacher, got married and asked the kids to be in the wedding!

They were thrilled and we had such a great time.

Thomas was the "ring barrier" but still can't figure out why he didn't actually carry the rings!  But looked adorable in his bow tie and suspenders.  He was mostly excited about the fancy shoes!  He did a great job and made it down the aisle!

The girls made beautiful flower girls and of course loved their dresses.

They had a great time with sweet Miss Karli and Mr Isaac.

All three of them tore up the dance floor all night long and loved the donut wall and giant cake of course!  It was a great night!

That is about all for our crazy busy June!

We are off to the Lake soon for July 4th and then back home for one more camp, a little more 3v3 soccer, the kick-off to the soccer season and of course getting ready to start school on August 5th!!!

Here are the rest of the pictures from our fun month of June:
