Happy 11 Months 

Less than 1 month and this guy will be turning ONE!  I am not sure how this happened so fast but it is happening.  

April has flown by and was full of soccer, tennis, swimming, school fun and spring weather perfect for playing with friends and neighbors!

Soccer is almost over and both girls have had great seasons.  Hudson's team, The Green Frogs, is playing well.  They get better every game and seem to be having fun.  Hudson is playing well and even got to celebrate her first hat-trick of the season with a little Sweet Cece's.

 Sullivan's White Team is playing awesome.  For 3 and 4 year olds, they are full of hustle and not afraid to get in the mix.  Boys, girls, it doesn't matter...they are all tough as nails.  Sully has found her soccer groove for sure.  She is scoring lots of goals and has even figured out the "defending" thing which is fun to watch!

 Thomas is awesome!  He is officially a walker...and he loves it.  He walks everywhere...all the time.  He still loves food - especially strawberries, blueberries and any kind of meat!  Haha.  He moved up to the Infant 3 class at school and loves his teachers and being with the big kids.  He is still a great sleeper, LOVES his sisters and is such a happy happy baby.

 We haven't had much time for anything else other than sports this month, but we did sneak in a few other things.  We took a quick trip to Atlanta to surprise SueSue for her birthday which was a lot of fun.  We even got to visit with our favorite NC friends - the Boyles.  We have spent a lot of our free time just playing with neighborhood friends - playgrounds, flying kites, riding bikes, sewing pillows, jumping on the trampoline, etc.  We love our neighborhood!  We had a blast at the zoo celebrating our good friend Carter.  We also gave our house a little make-over.  We painted our kitchen and bathroom cabinets and also painted the walls in the living space downstairs and in the master bath.  It looks great and makes our space feel so much bigger!

March 2016

Happy 10 Months!

 Spring is finally here.  March brought us warmer weather and sports, sports and more sports.

The girls wrapped up another successful gymnastics season and loved it.  They can't get enough of the trampolines so thank goodness we have one at home.  They also finished their first tennis session with Rally Cats.  They both LOVED it and have already asked if they can play again.  We still have a few more swim lessons left and soccer is now in full swing.

 We also enjoyed a nice quiet Easter at home.  The girls were thrilled to see that the Easter Bunny came and ate all the snacks we left for him - carrots, blueberries and lettuce.  After church, the girls dyed Easter eggs and worked on their garden stepping stones that the bunny brought.  Grandma and Grandpa also came down for the day which was so much fun.  They took the girls to see Zootopia and then we had a great cook-out.  It was a nice relaxing weekend.

 We didn't have much else going on this month.  Our first soccer games were April 2 so I know the girls are pumped for that.  Go White Team and Go Green Frogs!

Thomas is doing well and growing like a weed!  He still loves to sleep and eat and is officially on the go.  He crawls on one knee and one foot and really really wants to walk.  He is pretty fast pushing anything he can find around the house.  The video below was taken ONE day after he turned 9 months old!  He was so proud of himself.  He loves to dance and "talk" and is such a happy laid back baby!

That is about all for now.  April bring us soccer, soccer and more soccer.  We also get to register Hudson for Kindergarten.....so wish me luck!

February 2016

February 2016 was a super fun, exhausting blur!  

Thomas is doing great.  He had a big time at Disney World and absolutely LOVED the characters.  He is doing great at school and loves getting to eat big kid school food.  I'm pretty sure they said his favorite is beef tacos...of course!  He is still a great sleeper - 12-13 hours at night and usually takes one good long nap every day.  He obviously loves food.  We are giving him more and more table food along with baby food.  He seems to really love blueberries and strawberries.  He is crawling, pulling up and standing by himself for short periods of time.  He weighs 20 lbs, 13.5 oz (70th Percentile) and is 29.25 inches long (85th Percentile) - which makes him a big boy but the smallest of our three kiddos!!!

Our Disney trip was a HUGE success.  An exhausting success but still a total blast.  We spent 13 hours in the Magic Kingdom the first day which may have been a bit much but we were totally going to get our money's worth...haha!  We met all the princesses, rode all the rides (we were tall enough to do), saw all the parades and shows and even stayed for the night parade, Castle lighting and fireworks.  The girls ate lunch with Winnie the Pooh and friends and even got princess make-overs at the Bippity-Boppity Boutique.  We also ate dinner in Cinderella's Castle where we met Cinderella, Ariel, Jasmine, Snow White and Aurora.

Day 2, we spent 9 hours at Hollywood Studios.  We met more characters, ate lunch with the Disney Junior crew and did all the rides we could fit in.  The hit was by far the Frozen Sing-a-long b/c Elsa made it snow in the building.  It was pretty cool.  

Day 3, we went back to Magic Kingdom for another 8 hours.  We did even more rides (some more than once...It's a Small World...awful...which happened to be Sobe's favorite....of course).  We watched the parades again, ate lunch in Belle's Castle and finally met Elsa and Anna!

Our last day we spent about 6 hours at the Animal Kingdom.  We did the Safari, watched Nemo and the Lion King Show and the girls even did some scarier rides.

Over all, it was an awesome trip.  Thomas was a total trooper and Sobe even kept it together (most of the time) for a 3 year old without naps!

The rest of February was spent recovering from Disney, celebrating Valentine's day and our 7 year anniversary.  We enjoyed some warm weather which means all-day playing outside with neighbors.  We had a great neighborhood cook-out - topped off with another sleepover.  

The girls are wrapping up gymnastics and March brings us a whole new crazy schedule.  We have soccer starting in a few weeks which is always fun.  The girls are trying tennis for the first time.  They are also taking swim lessons so they will be ready when the pool opens.  Also for my sanity since Thomas will be all over the place this summer and I want them both to be strong swimmers!

January 2016

What was supposed to be a pretty boring January turned into an exciting month full of snow!  We also celebrated a birthday, 8 months and a Hall of Fame Induction!

We enjoyed some down time after the Holiday madness.  The girls are loving their gymnastics class and are working on all their trampoline skills.  We have a few more weeks of that left and then we start a new soccer season and they are trying tennis for the first time.  I think they are just in it for the gear and new racket but hopefully they like it.

After weeks of pretty mild weather, and even some HOT winter days, we finally had our first snowfall.  The first threat was kind of a let down with just ice and dusting but the second storm did not disappoint.  Nashville got about 8 inches of snow, which is the most this town has seen in well over 10 years and man did the girls LOVE it.  We spent 3 fulls days sledding, building snowmen, making snow angels and having a blast with neighbors.  Although I think the jury is still out on who had the most fun...the kids or the adults!!!

Thankfully this winter storm, Tom was actually in town which was nice compared to last year's two week long Ice Storm.  Thomas even got in on the sledding and loved it.  After the Snow storm, Thomas turned 8 months old (on my birthday).  He is growing so fast!  He is still trying to crawl but has really only mastered going backwards...haha!  He does scoot around on his bottom when he wants to get somewhere.  He also pulls up on everything.  All he wants to do is stand up!  He still only has 6 teeth and has enjoyed getting to eat more real food instead of just baby food.  We go back to the doctor this month for his 9 month check up so we will get to find out how much he has grown.

Last weekend, we got to spend a great day in Bowling Green celebrating Tom.  He was inducted into his High School Athletic Hall of Fame.  They had a nice ceremony and celebrated all the inductees at the basketball game that night.  I think the girls were more excited than he was. (Hudson has his plaque in her room!)

That is about all for now.  The girls are super pumped that their countdown chains are so short....because we leave for Disney World this weekend!  So February should be a pretty exciting month for sure!!!

December 2015

Hard to believe 2015 has come and gone already!  The Christmas season flew by but we did our best to make the most of it!

We took our annual trip to Opryland to see their decorations and to walk through ICE.  This year it was the Nutcracker theme so Hudson was in heaven with all the ballerinas and princesses.  They do such a great job with all of their lights and the life size Nativity scene outside.  The girls just love it.

We also had our very first successful trip to see Santa.  There were no tears (although Hudson still wouldn't sit in his lap) but luckily, Sullivan has no fear!  Thomas just looked at him like - "who the heck are you?"  The girls even wrote letters to him and we mailed those in the special mailbox at the mall to make sure he got them in time!

We also took our annual Pre-Christmas trip to Atlanta to Celebrate with the Halters.  We had a great week with everyone.  The girls got to make Gingerbread houses, cookies and dog treats with SueSue like they do every year.  We had a sleepover with Cousin Reed.  We got to see all 3 boys play basketball.  We took 3 trips to the awesome playground by SueSue's house and to the Inflatable House!  We spent one rainy morning at Bass Pro Shop's Winter Wonderland shooting guns, riding the carousel, seeing the fish and of course sitting in Santa's lap one more time - just to make sure he knew what everyone wanted.  We capped off the trip with our Christmas dinner and celebration.  We had a great present exchange with everyone to end the night!

When we got back to Nashville, we had just enough time to hang out with friends and enjoy the 70+ degree weather.  We played outside as much as we could.  We took a big neighborhood trip to Pump It Up (where Hudson finally conquered the rock wall).  We had awesome neighbors/friends take the girls to a walk-through Live Nativity which they loved.  And the girls got to enjoy a sleepover at Aunt Macy's complete with dinner at Chic-fil-A and a trip to her Church's Winter Festival.

We spent Christmas Eve at Church which the girls love because of all the singing and the story of Baby Jesus.  Thomas enjoyed it too.  So much so, that he spit up all the way down my dress in the middle of the service - super fun!  We made our traditional homemade pizzas and cookies for Santa.  We even tracked him on NORAD which was super fun for the girls.

Christmas Day was so much fun this year!  Both girls were very into it and Thomas even loved opening presents!  Santa was very good to all three kiddos and even filled the Dog's stockings (Makers checked her stocking every morning since we hung them up...so she was pumped when it was actually full for once).  The girls' big present, which came in a new suitcase from "Mickey Mouse" was a countdown chain to our trip to DISNEY WORLD!  We head out in February and they are so excited.  Everyday Hudson tells me "I just can't believe we are going to Disney World..."

After Christmas, we didn't do much.  We helped our good friend and Neighbor Braxton, celebrate his birthday at the Science Center which was super fun.  Then unfortunately, Thomas came down with RSV and was pretty pitiful for a few days.  Luckily, we avoided having to spend any time at the Hospital, just 3 hours at the pediatrician for one breathing treatment, some Advil for a fever and a prescription for an ear infection!  The girls and I snuck out on New Year's Day while the boys stayed home to rest and had some serious trampoline fun.  We spent about an hour and a half at JumpStreet which was awesome. The rest of the break was spent playing with all our neighborhood friends which we are so blessed to have.  I think we counted 15 kids under the age of 10 on our street alone so finding someone to play with is as easy as walking out the front door!

Thomas did celebrate his 7 Month Birthday a few days after Christmas.  He is now 18 lbs, 6 oz.  He has 6 teeth - 4 on top and 2 on the bottom.  He is up on all fours doing some rocking back and forth trying to crawl, but has also learned how to scoot forward on his bottom to get something he really wants.  He still loves to eat and has now tried pancakes, homemade bread and a homemade banana muffin which he loved!

November 2015

Happy 6 Months!

 Hard to believe that this guy is already 6 months old!  He has been such an easy, happy baby...we are truly blessed!  He now weighs 17 lbs, 13 oz (60%) and is 27 3/4 inches long (96%).  He is the smallest of all our kiddos...crazy since he was the biggest at birth!  He is rolling all over, sitting up by himself, eating baby food and loves puffs and baby crackers.  He really can't get enough food!  Haha.

November has been a pretty quiet month.  After the madness of Halloween, it was nice to have some down time before the Holiday season hits!  

We did take some time to Celebrate Thomas' Baptism.  It was a great weekend.  SueSue, BooBoo, Uncle Pace (aka - The Godfather), PJ and Reedo were able to make the trip up for the weekend (we missed Auntie Leens and Chuck who couldn't make it due to lacrosse games).  Of course the girls LOVED having the boys here and they made the most of it with a trip to Jumpstreet, playing outside ALL DAY and s'mores by the fire while watching football.  Sunday morning Thomas was baptized at First Presbyterian Church and we had a great brunch at Mere Bulles afterward.  Grandma and Grandpa Frericks and Aunt Macy also joined us.  It was a great day.

 We haven't had much else going on this month.  We have enjoyed the crazy warm weather though.  The girls pretty much play outside all day everyday which is awesome.  We have 12 kids under the age of 9 on our street so there is never a dull moment and you don't have to go far to find friends to play with.

Thanksgiving was great.  Grandma and Grandpa came down for the day.  The girls played outside ALL day with their buddies across the street and we had a delicious meal.  I was even able to sneak away for some Thursday night shopping - I know I am crazy but I have to say...it was not as crazy as usual.  I even recruited our new neighbor to shop with me on Black Friday.  It was her first Black Friday outing and she was sorely disappointed with how boring and uneventful it was.

That is about all for now.  The girls are SOOO excited or Christmas.  We plan to decorate the house this week and get our tree on Saturday!  So let the Holiday begin!

October 2015

Happy 5 Months to this guy!

October is becoming not only the busiest month of the year but also the most fun.  Between soccer, Hudson's Birthday, Fall fun and Halloween, we always seem to have a FULL but FUN month.  

We wrapped up the soccer seasons this month.  In the last games of the season, Sobes scored a goal and brought home a giant black eye along with her trophy and Hudson scored FOUR goals.  It was a great season.  

We celebrated Hudson's birthday for about a week.  She had 2 school celebrations, a birthday party, a birthday dinner in Nashville (Waffle House of course) and a birthday dinner in Bowling Green (at her other favorite - Chuy's).  She also had a great gymnastics party with such a fun group of friends.

  

After soccer and Hudson's birthday celebrations, we were able to sneak in a trip to Bowling Green which was a lot of fun.  We took the Scarecrow Tour at Lost River Cave and also went to Jackson Orchard for some fall fun.  We were also able to get out to Shuckle's Pumpkin Patch to get our pumpkins, take a hayride and do the corn maze.  It was a fun, although rainy, day!

Halloween was a big deal this year.  Both girls wanted to be cheerleaders so we went with a football theme.  Other then the kids being super cute, I have to say Makers stole the show.  She was our "football" and every time I look at the picture, it makes me laugh.  She was such a good sport.  The girls had a big time trick-or-treating and handing out candy all night.  Hudson hit every single street in our neighborhood and loved every second.
