Halloween was so much fun this year. Hudson got into it for the first time and we had a blast. Tuesday night we decorated pumpkins for the neighborhood competition. The girls got to do their very own pumpkins all by themselves. They went crazy with the markers, googly eyes and glitter. Pretty sure Sobes ate more glitter than she decorated with!
Pumpkins for the Neighborhood competition
I went with the classic pumpkin eating a pumpkin but used the seeds as teeth. It turned out pretty good. I am happy to report that I came home with Second place for my age group and the girls got honorable mention! Luckily they can't read so all they know is they got an award!

Hudson and Sobe's Twin Pumpkins
Wednesday at Mother's Day Out the girls got to dress like a storybook character. Hudson went as Minnie Mouse and Sobes went as Angelina Ballerina. She wouldn't wear the ears but she was super cute in her tutu. Wednesday night we went to Trunk or Treat with our sweet neighbors the Bell's. The kids had a big time and Sobes got to show off her tutu to a few more people! They got a ton of candy and Hudson was able to practice her trick-or-treating skills. She was a bit shy at first but certainly got the hang of it in a hurry.
These two love each other
Tina and Minnie
As you can see, the girls LOVE the Bell Kids!
On Halloween, the girls had their class parties and costume parade at The Academy. Our theme for Halloween was Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Hudson was "Izzy" and Sobes was "Scully" (the parrot). Hudson looked super cute as you can see and Sobes...well she was hilarious!
Unfortunately, it rained all day Thursday and they had to do the parade through school as opposed to across the street but the kids had a blast anyway.

Because of the horrible weather, our neighborhood postponed the annual parade and trick-or-treating to Friday. It was a beautiful day and there were a ton of people! It was so fun! We all got decked in our pirate gear and Makers even got to take part in the parade while revealing her secret identity...Super Dog.

We had our fun new neighbors, The Booth's, and the Kopfs over for trick-or-treating and dinner. The kids had a blast. Hudson became fast friends with our neighbor, Braxton. Although she couldn't remember his name so she lovingly referred to him as "my minion" all night! But they loved being "big kids" and handing out candy. After over an hour of trick-or-treating, they both stood outside by themselves and handed out candy to everyone for several hours! It was super cute!
Halloween Crew
After a full week of Halloween fun, Hudson had her very first Dance class. She loved the outfit and liked the class. She was a bit shy but she went back to the studio without me and made a new friend. She didn't do everything in the class but she said she liked it. We are giving it a try for the Month of November before we commit to a semester!
First Dance Class
That is about all for now. Here are the rest of our Halloween Week fun pictures:
Hard to believe that my baby girl is THREE! She certainly made the most of it. She celebrated all week long.
To start the week she took cupcakes to Mother's Day Out. The next day (on her actual birthday), she took cookies to school at the Academy. We celebrated as a family that night.
Birthday Morning! Tinkerbell brought a balloon to start the day!
After school we took her to Toys R' Us. Since she is part of Geoffrey's Birthday Club, she got to go and use her birthday coupon to pick out one present. They gave her a balloon and crown and announced her name over the loud speaker. After about an hour of "shopping" she decided on the stuffed princess doll and a Doc McStuffins Coloring/Stick book.
Annual Geoffrey's Birthday Club Trip...Princess Doll and a Doc McStuffins coloring/Sticker book!
After shopping, Hudson got to choose where we ate dinner. Her choice: Waffle House. So off we went. She feasted on some chocolate milk and a chocolate chip waffle! Sullivan of course had 1/2 a waffle, cheese eggs, sausage and milk.
Birthday Dinner at Waffle House....
When we got home, the girls had to have a little treat to finish the night. Sugar overload for sure but you only turn 3 once right?
Birthday Cupcake with Little Sis!
While we were gone, Tinkerbell delivered Hudson's present. She got a BIG GIRL BIKE...princess themed of course.
Birthday Bike!
Look how tall she is! She went today for her 3 year check-up and she is now 35 lbs (90%) and 39.75 in tall (97%). Needless to say she is one long and lean little lady!
So TALL!
Saturday, October, 26, we had Hudson's big party. We went to Pump It Up and had a blast!
Homemade Double Doozie Cookie Cake...with sprinkles of course
The giant slide was a crowd favorite of course.
Pump It Up Fun
After 90 minutes of jumping, this was the best we could do! Haha...they look exhausted!
The crew...after 90 minutes of nonstop jumping!
My sweet family! Hudson wouldn't sit in the party chair by herself!
The Family!
After the party, Hudson was too hyped up to nap so SueSue and I took Hudson and Charlie to the zoo. They had a blast and we even snuck in a visit with the kangaroos.
We had a big BBQ dinner out and then Hudson got to open all her gifts. She got so many wonderful things...we are so blessed!

So it has been a while since I updated this...sorry about that! We have been on the go non-stop for the past 2 months!
Hudson started Soccer for the first time! She was on the Gold Team at First Presbyterian church. I would say her first season was a success. She never cried, always wanted to go and stayed on the field when it was her turn. I'm not saying she ever actually touched the ball...but she was out there chasing the pack! I think she was just in it for the team cheer and the trophy...Go Gold!
Following Mommy's Footsteps!
Nashville in the Fall is so much fun. Every weekend there is some sort of festival or event going on! We hit up Fall in the Hall, which is a neighborhood FREE festival. They had all sorts of activities - balloon men, bounce houses, police horses, music classes and fire trucks!
Fall in the Hall Balloon Sword
Another weekend we went to check out the TACA fair at Centennial park. It is the Arts and Crafts fair. Sobes channeled her inner Bonaroo and blew some bubbles!
This could be at Bonaroo...but it's just Centennial
We also surprised Hudson with an early Birthday present and took her to Disney Princesses on Ice. She was so excited and totally in Awe. I am not sure she closed her mouth the whole time!
Princesses on Ice
Like I said...she was just in it for the trophy!!
Big Girl got her Trophy
We went to check out a new pumpkin patch this year called Huckleberry Hill Farm. Hudson went nuts for this huge blob! We also rode the pumpkin train, did the corn maze and took a hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick our own pumpkins!
Loving the Blob
I really wanted a green one so Hudson found me this cute one. Sullivan LOVED her pumpkin. She wouldn't put it down the rest of the night!
Sobes would not let go of her pumpkin
This weekend I took the girls to the Music and Molasses Festival which was super fun. Tom was at the Notre Dame game so I had to keep the girls busy and wear them out!!! We got to pet all the animals, play in corn box, bob for apples in the air, take a mule wagon ride and listen to some bluegrass. It was a lot of fun!
My little country girls!
Other than our activities, the girls are doing great. They are still loving school and Mother's Day Out.
Here are a few highlights:
Hudson:
She Finished soccer and is about to start her next activity - DANCE (I know, I can't believe it either).
She is still crazy energetic - just check out this video as proof...yes that is her, with no shirt on, at 10:00pm running laps in the driveway
She learned to spell her name out loud. We are still working on writing it!
She is so so sweet and takes a lot of abuse from Sobes!
Sullivan:
She is a mess...but a cute mess.
She still eats like a horse (she ate roasted brussel sprouts the other night).
She is talking a lot more now, some of her new words are kitty cat, puppy, bye-bye, up and Boo-boo.
That is about all for now. Hudson turns THREE next week and we have Halloween the week after that so I will have some more posts soon!!!
Here are the rest of the pictures from our adventures:
Summer has flown by! I can't believe it is already September and fall is quickly approaching! Lucky for us, our neighborhood pool stays open till October 12 so we have a little bit longer to have some pool fun!
We have had a crazy busy past couple months as usual. Here are a few of the places we went and things we did: Chi-fil-a Cow Appreciation Day, Ellington Ag Center, Splash Pad in Downtown Nashville, Williamson County Fair, Bowling Green, Lake Rabun (TWICE), Babyland General (Birth place of the Cabbage Patch Kid), Goats on the Roof, the neighborhood pool, the Science Center, The Zoo, puppet show at the downtown library, The Y, Sky High Sports, Bounce U, and many many more! When you have an almost 3 year old with us much energy as Hudson, the key is to keep them busy!
It is crazy to see how much the girls have grown up and changed over just the past two months. Here are few pictures of our adventures!
They love this "boat"...aka - tray off the ottoman
Fun at the Splash pad
Sobes picking some veggies at the County fair
Hudson insisted we ride on the roller coaster...clearly she loved it!
I feel good about this boat captain...
Lots of fun cousin time this summer...LOVE!
She is officially playing soccer!
SueSue, her girls and treats from Hall's
Riding the Ski trainer!
As you can see the girls have had a great summer! Here are few updates on what they have been up to.
Sullivan:
She had her 15 month check-up today and everything looked great. She weighs 25 lbs, 9.5 oz (85%) and is 32 3/4 in long (96%)
She still eats like a champion and just last week at the lake she ate a rib down to the bone...I mean it was CLEAN!
She is still our sleeper too - Thank goodness. Last week in Atlanta, she slept till 11:15 EST! Amazing! But she always gets 12-13 hours a night!
She is finally learning sign language and can now sign: more, please, thank you, milk and all done
She is talking more and more everyday. Some of her new words include: mama, dada, snack, dog, ball and Makers
She also recently started nodding her head for 'yes' and 'no' and it is pretty cute
She tries to do everything the big kids do including running which is even cuter to see those chunky little legs try to keep up with everyone!
She is finally getting used to going to school and only cries for a second during drop off. She goes to Mother's Day Out twice a week and The Academy twice a week and seems to have fun once I leave and she settles down.
She recently got 4 molars and is about to get her bottom pointy teeth as I call them.
She is pretty funny and I have a feeling it won't be long before she starts beating up on Hudson!
Hudson:
She is one tall little lady. I am not sure exactly how tall but let's just say she looks more like a 4 year old than a 2 year old.
She still eats really well too so I am hoping we will skip right over the picky phase (although I know it is coming)
She is playing soccer at First Presbyterian Church and is really liking it. We have had 1 game and while she didn't participate the whole time (due to a middle of the game potty break) she did stick it out to the end which is more than I can say for 4 of our players who went home crying! She is the youngest on the team by a year, so I am proud of her for even being out there. She even did one throw-in and one kick-off. She also scored the first 2 goals of the game (for the other team...) but I guess at this age - a goal is a goal!
She LOVES school. She also goes to Mother's Day Out twice a week and The Academy twice a week. She just moved up a class at the Academy and has a blast every day!
She is still a fish and loves to swim and can even swim without a life jacket. She loves to run and jump in and swim back to the wall or stairs. We only let her do it when one of us is in the water with her but she is getting really good at it.
On our last trip to the lake, we bribed her to ride the ski trainer. At first she only did it for the blow pop prize, but as you can see in the video below, she asked to get back on it with her blow pop. She even asked to go again two more times last weekend. We can't get her to stand up yet but next summer for sure!
That is about all for now. Here are all the pictures from our adventures. There are a lot so fair warning!
We are finally home from a wonderful 11 days at Lake Rabun! Our week long trip was extended due to the lake flooding...but we won't complain!
There are way too many pictures to include but I have pulled out a few cute ones and you can enjoy the rest if you click the link at the end!
Some of the highlights from the week include:
Tubing - nonstop - Sobe LOVED it
Swimming - also nonstop
Board games and Head's up on the iPad - Pace and Tom doing ballet would be the highlight of that for sure!
Boat rides galore

So sad that our trip is over but it was nice to get home to our house and our routines!
Plus, the day after we got home, this little one had her first day at The Academy of Maryland Farms! She LOVED it! She is Miss Wanda's class - Infant 3 and had a great first day!
That is about all for now! As always here are the rest of the pictures from the lake trip!!
We have had a busy few weeks so I thought I would get some pictures out before our big trip to the Lake for 10 days!
Hudson and our good Buddies, Ava Grace and Caleb, went to Lipscomb University's Lil Bison Soccer Camp. It was for an hour a day for a week and Hudson just LOVED it! It was also Special b/c one of my former players, Karli Crosby, is a rising Junior at Lipscomb and was Hudson's counselor! It was so much fun to watch!
First Day! All set!
Wacky Wednesday at Camp
So Wacky!
The last day was Lipscomb Spirit day...Sobes joined the fun!
Last day with Coach Karli!
Showing off her step-over while holding a popsicle..that is hard core!
Other than soccer camp we have stayed super busy. Hudson also attended VBS with Ava Grace and Caleb and had a blast. Unfortunately, she got a double ear infection and had to miss the last night but she loved every minute of it.
We also went to the Zoo for Friday night Member Night. Bouncey houses and free carousel rides. We packed a picnic dinner and had a blast!
Hudson planted some seeds earlier this spring and her flowers finally bloomed. She is so proud of them and takes such good care of them. Watering them everyday! Here she is showing them off - with her assistant of course!
So proud!
We have also spent a lot of time at the pool. Ton's cousin Chris and his family recently moved into our neigborhood and Hudson has loved it! She and Sobes love having their cousins just down the street and I think we have played with Max and Gunner every day since they moved in!
Not to be outdone...I thought you might like to see what Sobes has been up to lately. Here she is showing off her two favorite things....dancing and eating!
Here are the rest of the pictures from soccer camp and our other adventures! Can't wait to show you all our pictures from the lake trip! Until then, we hope everyone has a very Happy Fourth of July!
